Your website, but in 3D.

What it is

What is a 3D scroll website?

A 3D scroll website is a site where scrolling drives a camera through a real-time 3D scene, instead of sliding flat sections up the screen. It is also called scrollytelling, an immersive website or an interactive 3D website.

There is no autoplay video and nothing to buffer: the visitor’s thumb or trackpad controls the shot, so the story moves at their pace. Products, case studies and pricing sit along one camera path, which gives the page an order you can feel.

Sideways builds these sites with WebGL and three.js. All headings and paragraphs stay as real HTML on top of the 3D canvas, so search engines, AI assistants and screen readers can read every word.

What you get

Built for launches, products and brands that need to stand out.

  • 3D scroll hero

One scene at the top of your existing site, with up to three story beats. The fastest way to add 3D.

  • 3D landing page

A full page on one camera path, with custom models, lighting and up to eight story beats.

  • Multi-page 3D website

Connected scenes across pages, interactive product views and a CMS your team can edit.

  • Product showcases

Rotate, zoom and explore a product in the browser, with no app or plugin to install.

  • Reduced-motion version

Visitors who turn off motion get a calm, fully readable version of the same content.

  • SEO-ready build

Real HTML text, structured data, fast first paint and clean URLs, so the 3D does not cost you rankings.

Performance budget

    Model

Scenes are built low-poly and textured for the web, with a polygon budget per section.

  3. STEP 3

    Choreograph

Camera curves, easing and text timing are tuned against real scroll speed on phones and trackpads.

    WEEK 2–3
  4. STEP 4

    Ship

Testing on low-end devices, a reduced-motion version, and a site your team can edit.

Questions

Before you send a brief.

How much does a 3D website cost?

With Sideways, a 3D scroll hero starts at $500, a full 3D landing page at $1,000 and a multi-page 3D website with a CMS at $1,500. Agencies and specialist 3D studios commonly charge several thousand dollars or more for similar work.

Can you add 3D to my existing website?

Yes. The Scene package is a 3D scroll hero that drops into an existing site, whether it runs on WordPress, Shopify, Webflow or custom code.

Will a 3D website be slow on phones?

No. Every site is held to 60 fps on a three-year-old mid-range phone, under 1.5 MB of 3D assets, and Largest Contentful Paint under 2 seconds on 4G.

Are 3D websites bad for SEO?

Not when they are built correctly. Sideways keeps all text in real HTML rather than inside the 3D canvas, adds structured data and keeps pages fast, so search engines and AI assistants can read and rank them.

What technology do you use?

WebGL through three.js for the 3D scenes, with scroll-driven camera paths, low-poly models and compressed textures, on a plain HTML and CSS page that works without JavaScript for reading.

How long does a 3D website take?

One to four weeks. A single 3D scroll hero ships in about a week, a full landing page in about two weeks, and a multi-page 3D site in three to four weeks.
